Is Banksy the artist of our time? Politically speaking, of course.
Is Banksy the artist of our time? Politically speaking, of course
No. Just a jewish money laundering operation.
Numbers never lie.
no, its garbage. has no aesthetic value and is just unrestrained individualism polluting our common spaces.
All art is a money laundering operation, though. After all, those digits. Somebody post the art money laundering thread. But, seriously, it's well known Banksy hates the art world and is making fun of it.
just another kike
British people have become so cringey within just a few centuries, its so sad. They used to be so cool. Even up until the 90's there were tons of awesome British bands. Now we get and sex with refugees is jasmine scented murals.
He's ok. I think I met him once, not much to speak about he's got a good eye for comedy. He's a novelty because he's not using the internet, but he's using the internet. Or maybe we're using him.
>unrestrained individualism
you say that like that's a bad thing. Why do you think it has no aesthetic value? I think it's pretty specific to late 20th/early 21st century Britain. I'm interested in hearing why you think otherwise.
its entirely believable banksy isnt even a real, single person, or he's just a front.
Its lazy shit posting art. Im sure Banksy knows low effort stencils are garbage. A decent message but not million dollar art and his mocking it all.
I smell elitist. Bruce Wayne sort. Disguised as Batman in the art world.
He’s a two bit stencil artist but a marketing genius
>its entirely believable banksy isnt even a real, single person, or he's just a front.
I fail to see how that denigrates the work. Many artists, historically, were a collective or were a group working under the guiding philosophy or aesthetic of one person. Just like any business or organization.
>He’s a two bit stencil artist but a marketing genius
So...you...agree he's the artist of our time? I mean, that sentence sounds like something he's trying to point out, does it not?
This thing was kinda cool. But at the end of the day he/they is still a "artist" type. Giant egos that produce "deep art".
He/she/zir is the most underrated improvisational artist this generation has or will have. Stand down passant
Unrestrained individualism is the same thing giving us trannies, sjws, kikes, and faggots like you. Someone needs to tell you to get back in the closet.
Kek
Daily reminder that Banksy is Robert Del Naja of Massive Attack.

What? Banksy is not underrated. Nor is he (or the group of people using the name as an alias) some sort of counter culture. It's weak tumblr memes on the streets.
I disagree. Under unrestrained individualism you have the same ability to give it right back to trannies, sjws, kikes, faggots, and whoever you do or don't like or whatever you disagree with. If you choose to not have the balls to stand up and fight for it has nothing to do with unrestrained individualism's problem but rather it's your problem and your problem alone. Sounds like it's just a thought that makes you uncomfortable that you're, one of these days, going to have to actually stand up for what you believe in, no?
Banksy is Shepard fairy
Banksy is fine.
Contrarians are upset that we don't prop up classically artists, which is fine, but Banksy is probably at the highest echelon of post modern street art.
Its good for what it is. Great even.
>Jow Forums posts how all graffiti is just like tattoo art, only degenerate
>Jow Forums posts banksy, the most commercial, talentless hack, entry-tier graffiti artist
You guys are fucking idiots.
It's pretty meta to paint a mural of a black kid quoting a philosopher speaking out against quotations.
No, its obviously shadman
I didn't know Jow Forums is one person...
no
he has some kind of problem
Banksy is pretty meta.
I've seen you post this before. What makes you think this? If 3D was Banksy, I think the two would reference each other. Maybe you're right. His stuff is different from Shepard Fairly, too. I don't know.
I think Banksy is a Russian bot.
>Shepard fairy
Fairey wishes he were half the artist.
>the artist
dude, there's at least a dozen people doing the Banksy thing. Banksy isn't one person.
Nigger,
I own more art that your last name is worth
That's great. The famous anarchist slogan is "if voting could change anything, it would be illegal." The situationists thought that grafitti was an anarchist tool that did, in fact, change things. Graffiti artists all love the situationists for whatever reason. It's basically cool thinking for 7th graders.
But he's jabbing them, here.
They're must be many people in the art world and British intelligence who know exactly who banksy is. How it hasn't became common knowledge after 20 + years is amazing.
Banksy attacks everyone. He isn't right or left. He's actually like diogenes, Oscar Wilde, Julius Evola, and Boyd Rice. Just someone who points out hypocrisy. He's like how I remember /b/ in 2005/6.
Why does that matter at all? I mean, even a little bit? What does that have to do with anything? I'm talking about the work of Banksy. Whether that's one individual or a collective, I'm talking about the work of Banksy. Hell, many people think Shakespeare was a front for a collective. Throughout time, many artists have just been the head of a collective.
Banksy is the Zack Snyder of 21st century artists.
nice
Just read it. Not sure. Hmmmm. I saw massive attack in San Francisco years ago, and I also going for coffee one morning in SF and seeing a fresh banksy rat with starry eyes. It would have been around the same time, but maybe months apart.
I disagree. If you had said that Shepard Fairey were the Zack Snyder of 21st century artists, I might have agreed.
This one makes me think that Banksy is non political, anti authoritarian. He criticizes the right and left, but especially hypocrisy at the control level. He's anti capitalist, but also anti socialist/collectivist. Anti monarchy, anti police state, anti greed, but really seems to value the individual. He also seems extremely critical of all of humanity, like Wilde, CS Lewis, Ambrose Pierce, HL Mencken, and other shit disturbers.
I guess he must be anti racism, but besides that, he could be a critic from any side.
Anyway, it's Grant Morrison.
