This used to happen organically. People from a given town with shared backgrounds, traditions, family ties, etc. would naturally help each other and pool resources and work together as a community. Socialism is the attempt to technocratically replicate that on a mass scale; fascism / ethnonationalism is an attempt to recreate the conditions that LED to that happening organically.
