Well the military requires a lot of time and resources to be taken back to CONUS. But at what point does street battles with police become a civil war? As for civil war, if the Blue Wave happens or status quo is maintained, the Dems will impeach Trump, but fail to remove him from office or any of his Justice picks. The rest of his term will be a big fat obstructed waste of time, but likely pass without any major bloodshed.
If a Red Wave happens, there will be nationwide protests like the 2016 elections. If Ginsberg resigns or some controversial ruling is made in the Supreme Court, the chances of a leftist snapping increase. Maybe sporadic attacks will happen to the police or members of Congress, but I think the most prominent and likely target is Trump. If he is assassinated, the Capitol will be put on lockdown immediately and Pence may need to declare martial law to prevent the systematic lynching of Congressional Democrats. There will be riots and blood, but most people will keep a low profile, while the sparks between both disorganized sides sputter out. The left doesn't truly want a civil war, because they would lose and any disruption to the power grid would prevent them from posting their achievements to social media.
