We live in a mix of 1984 and Brave New World, yes.

Check this out, it predicted newspeak

It is a book, read it.

> is it the most accurate political book ever made about the future?

No but its a good articulation of the obvious trajectory of the world in its current state. But its not the best or most accurate book made about the future.
Brave new world is better, it shows another obvious path we will go down in terms of selection.

Very nice. Can think of a few failed examples aswel. Like Barack obama refusing to say radical islam\islamic terror.

Brave new world is more realistic. 1984 is more brutal, the oppression is less conceiled. So therefore BNW is what we live in now, but 1984 is what will happen once SWJs become a critical mass

Oh and this

it's worth the read. Also try Brave New World. Both of these books are 'intro to dystopia' and first level reading on the subject.

It's the right book for the right time. That and Animal Farm. Interesting thing about it is who you feel the perpetrator of a society like that would be has a lot to do with your own political beliefs. I had a conversation in an airport with an older liberal female about the book (i was reading it while waiting to board) and she said she believed the Right would create a dystopian society like that in the book. I rebutted and said I believed that the Left was enacting the society through PC culture and internet and literal mobs pressuring people into "Right Think". Please read it.

Dante's Divine Comedy.

Agreed. There are a lot of elements of both, but it's more brave New world by far.

Yes. Nigger will bitch because Orwell was a socialist, but he was a socialist 80 fucking years ago before folks like Stalin and Mao and Pol Pot and Maduro had done a great job of illustrating how much socialism fucking sucks.

But yes, and it's more relevant than ever. The Democrats in America are closer to The Party than we will ever get, and the conditions of Oceania/Britain in the book are terrifyingly close to how things currently are in England.

It's an accurate description of North Korea. Fora description of the West, try Brave New World.

Nothing is. You have to read a few dystopian books then you can piece together the exaggerations to what is happening around you.

wait, why do you guys consider BNW a dystopia?
to me it looked awesome

BNW is the affluent dystopia. 1984 is the resource constrained dystopia.

Because traps are gay. And if BNW had its way we wouldn't even know to ask the question.

"Never Let Me Go" is great dystopian fiction. It's about a school of cloned children being raised as organ donors. Lots of parallels with today's world in which the future of the young is being sacrificed for the benefit of the old.
