>Thank you for visiting us! Unfortunately, your insurance is out of network. Those x-rays and stitches will cost you $280,000
Thank you for visiting us! Unfortunately, your insurance is out of network...
>I GOT A BOOBOO I NEED THE BIG SMART ADULTS AT DA CLOSEST DOCTORS OFFICE TO KISS IT AND MAKE IT BETTER!
>DAMN THE EXPENSE!
>BUT ALSO
>DAMN THE EXPENSE!!!
>donates $280k to Democrats to keep the X-ray and pharma patents in place and imported medicaments out of the market
I won’t pay it, what you going to do sue me? Here’s 1000, let’s consider the matter closed.
You know you dont have to give them a real name right?
Doctors charge so much because they're in on the insurance scam. Insurance loves to pay people out for shit. It's great marketing. They make more money if they spend more money because now the government forces everyone to pay at least a nominal amount. Drives wages down too because companies pay $$$ to get good insurance and attract talent. There is no competition for consumers at the consumer level, its now just who is taking which piece of the pie.
>That is ok, sir. We can just garnish your wages
>keep imports out
>pharma makes a lot of money
Gee isn't it nice to have protectionism?
>assumes I want full protectionism
Nice change of topic fag
Have fun with that I'm moving to Thailand.

JAJAJAJAJA GRINGO PUTAS
>thanks for coming in, we'll do anything you need tonight, what seems to be the problem?
Yo ofrezco trabajos más bajos que tú. no tengo seguro Yo no pago impuestos.
Amo los estados unidos
>garnish your wages
Haha...no. Harassment by a collection agency is about all a hospital can do. Also, wages? Nice one, wagie...some have under the table income an shit. The ER can't turn you away, so it's basically where everyone with no money goes, and you can rack up a fortune in free care, which is why hospitals overbill the insured so badly to make up.
I owed $3-4k to a hospital and simply applied to a patient assistance program and they wrote it off, no bill nothing.
Must enjoy all the free healthcare at the hospital closest to your barrio, huh Paco?
>Thank you for treating me. Unfortunately, I will not be paying because these prices were not rendered to me in an itemized format in advance, and I refuse to be extorted.
You are legally allowed to leave the hospital without paying, as long as you're fine with burning the bridge. Their only recourse is to have collection agents call you a few times, but any real attempt to get the money from you is shut down by a threat about "telling the news how you're bleeding me dry."
>"You have cancer, we'll get you in for a follow-up with an oncologist in 34 months."
That's not how it works. They just send your ass to collections after a lot of attempts to get their money. Even if you owe 50k+ you can negotiate it down to less than a grand if you tell them it's that or nothing.
>t. owed 30k and ended up spending $500
>you need an MRI, sorry but the whole country only has less than 1/4 the machines in the USA per million persons, so take a number
Used my work health insurance, from my American employer recently. 5 days waiting, 3 appointments with a specialist, tests, every blood test there is and x-rays of my entire body. All within a time span of a couple of weeks. And all for free.
If I were to use public health care it’s would probably take several months, I would have too pay a deductible for each appointment, and the doctor would hold back on the tests.
Thanks for the Americanization.
alright put it on my credit thanks
you see, healthcare here isn't a problem if you don't care about your credit. if you don't care about your credit, most healthcare is free.
Get an adult job that provides real insurance. I had never been sick in my life before a few weeks ago and ended up needing to have my appendix taken out. I got the bill yesterday and it was $128.
