It means that party's officials get to live in that government house for free until voted out

They decide and create shit that inhibits the country's ability to do anything properly or on time. Essentially, they cockblock the President.

It’s a matter of ease pushing agendas and legislation to reach the president

The Legislative Branch of government is divided into 2 parts.

The House of Representatives and the Senate...together they make Congress.

Each state gets 2 Senators and they are usually older and more experienced politicians who serve longer terms.

Representatives are determined by a states population...so big states have more reps. They serve shorter terms and are usually newer politicians.

In America the Legislative Branch is the part of government that is supposed to do shit...and be the best reflection of the American people. But currently its filled with a huge number of faggots who do jack shit. Its also filled with spineless republicans who are too scared to fight back against evil communist/socialist retard democrats

Currently the House and Senate are Republican controlled but only by small majorities...this makes it difficult for laws (that the President wants) to be passed. Especially when you have cuuucks and traitors within the ranks like John McCain (may piss be upon him)

This. Trump has shown he has consolidated power over the republicans though and even though most of them did everything they could to prevent him from getting elected, he has now brought them to heel. The Kavanaugh hearings were proof of this. So now, we worry that if the dems take over the house or senate, they will be able to cockblock Trump's agenda.

Congress is legislative body
senate is upper house
"house" (house of representatives) is lower house
legislation needs to pass both houses to become law
republicans have both houses now
dems take both houses = they're in power
dems take one house = deadlock
repubs keep both houses = remain in power

So let's say the Republicans control the senate and the house, what then?

the mere fact that Lindsey Graham is now hardcore is amazing. Watching him get pissed at the Kav stuff was glorious

Trump is really teaching them how to win. It will be a roadmap others will use for generations

>posting this with out context

Assuming that they vote along party lines..they can pass anything assuming it only needs a simple majority.

They do but like I said by a tiny majority. You really need a strong 2/3rds majority to get shit done in Congress.

Ideally in the midterm elections (for Congress) we will get a bunch of MAGA friendly new politicians in Washington who can start lynching CNN fags. The problem is that politics is an old person's game (in the Republican Party at least) so boomers haven't learned how to knife fight yet

If the Democrats gain control of any house they will use it to stonewall the President and make sure nothing happens for 4 years. If the Dems get a big enough majority they will try and impeach Trump by improperly interpreting "high crimes and misdemeanors" part of the constitution to try and impeach him...because they are subhuman scum

If Trump gets that MAGA alliance we get the wall

Congress makes the laws not the President

then theoretically they can push through just about any legislation they want as long as they all vote as a bloc (however they often struggle to vote as a bloc).

If they win the house or senate none of the republican legislation will get passed because it must go through the senate house and president.

Congress (Reps and Senate) = Makes the laws
President = Enforces the laws and heads the military, navigates foreign policy
Supreme Court = Determines constitutional questions and can declare laws invalid if they violate the constitution

Add to this you need a majority of the House to impeach, but you need 2/3 of the Senate to remove someone from office.
"separation of powers"

We have a bicameral legislature.
Some things, live funding bills, must originate in the house. If approved by a majority, it goes to the senate for approval in a similar manner.
Sometimes similar bills start in both houses and are merged before a final vote to save time.
If one party (we are only allowed two) wins a majority of both, they control the legislature.
This worked well enough until the mid 20th century.
Now rich assholes bribe and blackmail both sides and hijack the process. Many times, think tanks create laws which no one reads before they are made law.

Basically our system is totally broken and it is propped up by massive fraud.
It will end soon, God willing.

To be safe for all eternity:
A: Admit that you are a sinner, who violates the Will of God, and that you need a Saviour.
B: Believe that Jesus Christ, Son of God & Messiah, died for you sins and rose again, as prophesied and recorded in the Word of God.
C: Call on His name, ask Him to save you, and confess that He is Lord.

To add on to your add on

If the Democrats only gain control of the House...or if they only gain control of the Senate (they won't) then the Republicans could easily block the impeachment. They might try to do it anyway just to throw mud at him like retarded children

u get an executive legislative and judicial branch
supposedly they should be about equal
the judicial branch is entirely jewish
the legislative shit it supposed to actually write laws that the judicial branch interprets
in reality the jewdicial branch rules over everyone with nonsensical rulings by putting niggers jews and women into positions
the executive and judicial branches just jerk eachother off while doing nothing because minority voters decide most positions
in summary, hitler was right

The House of Representatives and the Senate create laws and legislation.

Yes, it's almost certainly their plan to cobble together a loose majority in the House this November, and run a sham impeachment. I predict it will go about as well as their sham indictment of Kavanaugh. Basically agree they are retarded children at this point.

made up country has stupid policies, what a shock

Republicans currently control both houses. But in the Senate its a narrow 51-49 majority. And in the house the majority is only like 25 of 435 representatives. In the senate its tough to do anything major without a 2/3 majority because of the fillibuster existing and because the Senate is often a vote along party lines. Which is why Trumps biggest legislative accomplishments are very mediocre. He has no room for anyone to break the party line. Also the Senate has to approve all of the presidents appointments to the cabinet, federal courts, and other major offices. With a majority that narrow Trump has appointed mostly moderate conservatives that any GOP president might have picked. The house is more fragmented within each party and its about building coalitions. House members are only elected to 2 year terms so they often get in on a wave of popular political trends. The real legislative power is in the seante so the house gets to just make a lot of popular noise that doesnt have consequences (ex. House republicans repealed Obamacare 39 times for no reason except to make a point).

Basically this election is going to be treated as a referendum on Trump. If the GOP wins big, the house is going to ride a wave of populism and the senate will be able to shut down fillibusters. Also Trump will be free to appoint whoever the fuck he wants and probably shut down the Russia investigation. If the Dems win they are going to probably spend the next two years trying to impeach him and to block nominees. They might try to find a way to undo Kavanaugh because theyre honestly extremely fucked by him getting in. Dems rely heavily on controlling the Supreme Court. If the GOP keeps control of the Senate but the Dems get the house then pretty much nothing but parisan bickering will happen until 2020.

>I predict it will go about as well as their sham indictment of Kavanaugh
Dem leadership is in an awful position. Pelosi has already signaled that she doesn't want to impeach likely because it would be an unmanageable shitshow worse than Kavanaugh. Problem is that they are depending on unhinged women, idealistic progressives and riled up minorities to win them back the house. If those people get in with a Dem majority, they are going to be stuck with a mandate to impeach Trump ASAP. It would be a hilariously chaotic opposition party

Right now senate rules (informal agreements) mean you can't pass a law without 60 senators, so a super majority. This means only really shitty laws make it through, like spending bills that throw extra billions to everybody. (Wonder why we have a budget problem...)

Nobody wants to change this agreement because politics are sitting on a knife edge and either side could soon become the minority party next election. If you want to put on rose glasses, the rules though are as much about preventing the sort of tyrany of the majority that lead to the civil war.

It means having a majority in the legislature you dumb fuck.
