My local mall was packed through 2008. Malls didn't die from 9/11 they died from the financial crisis.

Pretty much the same as it is now, except now there are cameras all over the fucking place and payphones got replaced with cell phones. Used to be you kept a little piece of paper in your wallet with all your buddies phone #s on them and then go pay a quarter to talk to them for ten minutes before you gotta put in another quarter. More if it was long distance.

Computers were only really for schools and nerds, and being nerdy/liking comicbooks or wizards and dragons and crap got you laughed at by the girls. They generally thought that shit was for losers instead of like now where they pretend to like it to impress guys. TV was a MUCH bigger deal, everyone watched TV all the time, there were a shitload less channels, and saying "shit" or showing a man's ugly ass was considered ungodly edgy. I remember when NYPD Blue (a cop show from the 90s) did both of those things and people went fucking nuts.

Christianity was a bigger deal too, like there were packs of angry ugly girls that would go around courthouses and shit trying to get everybody to stop listening to deathmetal music or bring back prayer in school or shit. IT was like how SJWs are now but flipped from leftist shit to right-wing shit. Everybody hated those cunts.

You could go on an airplane without taking your shoes off or being molested by a high school dropout that wears a badge.
