My block growing up had a sense of community. There’s was my family (Italian), another Italian family, an Irish family, polish, Italian, Greek, Irish, German, Italian, German. All of the parents were friends, all of the kids were friends. Then Colombians, Indians, Koreans and Mexicans moved in and people stopped getting together. It’s an absolute shame.

A republic is a country who's head of state is not hereditary. The shit Americans are seeming taught in school about it being a synomom for represntative democracy and only direct democracies are actually democracies is complete fucking nonsense.

Except that there is no mutual exclusivity between a Republic and a Democracy. A Democracy is simply any system of government where the people are able to influence the body politic, either through elections, referendums or otherwise.
Americans have confused the term Democracy with a Direct Democracy, but that's like saying all Nationalism is just Nationalism Socialism. Direct Democracy is one form of Democracy. The USA is a Constitutional Federal Representative Democratic Republic. It is both a Republic and a Democracy

except most people don't talk about direct democracies at all. most people talk about indirect representative democracy because that's the political standard across the west

if there is only one ethnicity in a country, there is no ethnic conflict. this is fact, since you can't start ethnic conflicts with ethnicities that aren't there. this means that when comparing a country with one ethnicity to a country with multiple ethnicities, the latter will always tend towards more conflict relatively speaking
