Is America really democratic?

Was there ever a case of a person becoming president who wasn't rich?

That's a cute Christmas cake

It is a constitutional republic
And you need money for campaign so yes you need to be rich

the federation isnt democratic , the individual states are .

We use elected representatives at nearly every level of government, so it's much more accurate to say it is a type of Republic.

Campaigning for president is a full-time job, so at a bare minimum, one would already need to be "independently wealthy" enough to not have to work.

Past that, money isn't as big of a deal as they make it sound. Hillary MASSIVELY out-spent Trump and we know how that turned out.

How can 3d compete?

Why would you want a poor person, one that didn't accomplish much of anything, to be your leader? Also, we've had some relatively poor presidents anyways.

America is a Republic. The only broke President we had was Truman and he was a faggot.

Harry Truman was poor his entire life. He was the last poor person to be president and the way things are now he will probably be the last.

Found this gem of a lie in that article though.

'Democrat Bernie Sanders who is worth an estimated $194,026 to $741,030'

they can suck your dick

america never had one it was from the start a facist state in the sense that the political class is completly interwoven with the corporate system

In Canada, we call our electoral system a 'democracy', which is complete bullshit. Any system with more than 2 parties is not a democracy. When you can have a majority government with 31% of the votes, it is clearly not a democracy.
I am not for democracy(it is simply mob rules) but I get sick of this constant work game.

and he was also the only one to drop not just one but two nukes, the absolute madman

I want a big tiddy office girl GF.

He planned on dropping 12

what is rich?

based

>It is a constitutional republic
Which constitutionally requires it to be democratic.
Hint republic isn't a federation of states, it means you don't have a king.

WHY ARE ALL THE WOMEN HERE FAT AND LOOK LIKE MEN

finding meaning in life and in everything you do

literally more worth than a billion

>Was there ever a case of a person becoming president who wasn't rich?
Should there be? What kind of idiot would vote for a poor person?

Democracy is for children and evil adults.

Thank God America is not a Democracy.

Rich are not the problem, tribalisation is.
Niggers vote for democrats because they gib dem money, spaniards vote democrats because of fear. Even philisophers who created democracy were certain it's impossible only within one ethnic group.
Now it's breeding contest, not a real democracy, only whites chose based on their beliefs, other let race decide.

More than 2/3rds of US Presidents grew up in houses WITHOUT ELECTRICITY!!

>Which constitutionally requires it to be democratic.
The Senate and the electoral college are in the Constitution, and each state is allowed to decide its own method for distributing its national votes.

America is a democracy dipshit, it's just a representative demoracy like every order Western country.

Inb4 republic argument

>first past the post = representative
no

>America democratic
L0Lno fgt pls

>Was there ever a case of a person becoming president who wasn't rich?
Andrew Jackson, also IIRC Nixon was firmly middle class at least in upbringing.

>Hint republic isn't a federation of states, it means you don't have a king
Fucking finally someone gets it. Jesus fucking Christ, why do so many tards equate representative Democracy with Republicanism instead of with you know, Democracy that is representative instead of direct?

I'd say you'd have to look at upbringing. Most presidents will be rich by the time they're elected from having a successful career prior to running as president.

>White boys will never get a woman to look at them in the way that anime cake is looking at those convenience store desserts
America can be a tyranny as long as Trump is the one in power.

>Was there ever a case of a person becoming president who wasn't rich?

Nixon was dirt poor when he was a kid. He was never really rich. Media hated him.
