I smoked pot for many years but I quit because it was holding me back. Stuff life LSD, shrooms and DMT can be a benefit though when it is taken in the right environment, with good preparation and without genetic preconditions for schizophrenia. Regular drug use should be avoided.

I smoke weed everyday. Small amounts and near the end of my day after gym. On weekends and vacation when out in the mountains on long hikes. I also don't let it define me and know when to stop. I work somewhere where it's frowned upon. So not many people can know. There are a lot of successful and competent people that smoke weed. Sadly, there are a lot of fuck ups that do the same.
