What makes me so confident that this meme was forced is the fact that I was confident that it died. I used 4plebs and tracked the number of posts that contained the word "NPC" on Jow Forums per day. It's clear that the meme peaked in early September then died in popularity. Despite this though, for a whole three weeks, hundreds of fake NPC twitter accounts were being made.
I'm not saying this is a psyops or DA JEWZ, but this is the most forced meme I've ever seen. Nobody cared about it or liked it until Twitter banned it. A proper meme is shared to become popular, but the NPC was spammed by a few people until Twitter revolted against it, and then everyone jumped on the bandwagon.
Wait so lemme get this straight. The npc meme was forced in order to make it easy to ban people who were bound to adopt it on twitter? Sounds crazy but it would be incredibly ironic if true.
LEGALLY EXECUTE ALL MOSSAD AGENTS IN A PEACEFUL MANNER

> implying that "the left" are "infuriated" by the NPC meme
We're just .. confused. You're asserting that, I'm not a character in a video game who can be manipulated by an Xbox controller.
Okay? I mean, yea, agreed. I am not a character in a video game.
David Lopez
Every. Fucking. Time. Almost comical at this point.
Austin Perez
Lib psyops have been doing shit like this for a while. They take memes that can be taken out of context and used to easily bait their narrative then blow them up as a way to bring attention to this place. Sooner or later they will bring the hammer down on Jow Forums too.
Zachary Powell
I wish we could go back to the days when i could confidently say this was satire

>npc meme died after we failed to convince ppl to hate eachother >ignore the fact it isnt dead and believe my illusion
u. goyid
Christian Hughes
I recognized it was inorganic immediately but there's nothing you can do now. Nu/pol/ is never going to listen. It was just like when the Amerigoblin meme was shilled here. Over the course of 24 hours, hundreds of shitty el goblino memes were shilled here and the newfags eventually picked it up. That one was much more blatant than the NPC one. The "le 56% face" was organic for comparison.
There's no point OP, plebbit doesn't want to hear it.
Aaron Reed
The NPC meme before wasnt political but then Kotaku made an article and it exploded
Luis Kelly
> Even just 2 years ago clear bait > Today ???

Academic articles have now been released saying this is the meme machine of the internet. There is now a vested interest in both understanding and manipulating what becomes a meme for marketing purposes. That Monster shit was almost certainly a viral marketing campaign. All you have to do is force it enough and plebbit will digest it eventually. Don't underestimate these marketing firms, they're a billion dollar industry and all the data points to the internet as the next frontier now that tv is dying.
That would be because of the purge, (((they))) took all of the new janitor positions. Funny how the NPC meme was purged from all of Jow Forums at the same time (12am on the 12th) as Facebook and Twitter purging thousands of independent media accounts.
Isaiah Rogers
Since I was here and clearly you faggots weren't:
1. It was forced 2. After they stopped trying to force it directly, they forced it with what amounted to a daily general where the philosophical aspects of what being an NPC really meant was discussed (this is the slow month long burn where it's petering out) 3. Someone realized the meme applied not to the general population and "normies" but to the left and SJW's in particular 4. Meme-machines started testing the waters 5. Liberals get fucking triggered 6. Everyone realizes this is going to be fun as fuck 7. Meme explodes
It would've died if they hadn't reacted. All they had to do was ignore it. But they couldn't do that. They banned it, they got mad, they posted shitty arguments that basically satirized themselves, they tried to "no u" with it. The right didn't make this meme what it was, the left did.
And they did it by essentially proving the meme was true and giving everyone hilarious reactions which enticed even more meme production. We're still not through it yet. Maybe it'll start petering out again within a week or three.
Hunter Green
What we have here is a high functioning NPC.
Justin Mitchell
Who cares? As long as people think for a change, it's a net positive.
To me, it seemed like it didn't change at all. It still had one or two threads at all times proclaiming it the "most powerful meme of the decade" in the op and other absolute statements ala neurolinguistic programming during those times. I read the threads and never saw anyone complain it was getting censored. I was on this site a lot around that time bored.

Because being victimized in this way is precisely the sort of thing the left needs to support its narrative?

>what are post IDs I've been meaning to do a long form write up about the NPC meme as a psyop for a few days
Hudson Nelson
What the fugg
Adam Long
That would be because everyone that did was banned for breaking rule 8
A long write up isn't necessary. It was a thought kill/derail for a while. Like flat earth. Just start calling people npcs if they question it. It caught on and now it's about liberals and sjws.
Hunter Kelly
it exploded because normalfags fed the troll
never feed the troll
Cooper King
>the same pirate memeflag keeps telling us the meme is dead even though the triggerings and mass bannings have just begun
Wew lad, that meme hurts doesn’t it
Nicholas Lewis
Except when they bring attention to this "victimization" it gets peoples' noggins joggin. The only way to defeat the NPC meme is to either not have it apply to you, or to censor it so completely that nobody ever sees it.
There's little doubt in my mind that this meme was created and forced by some group that isn't Jow Forums. However, the design of the meme is exceptional. This is not a left-wing meme. It slides off conservatives because conservatives aren't following the groupthink right now. Conservatives have to push boundaries and stand out and take risks, all sorts of things that groupthinkers don't do.
Conservatives in general don't empathize with the meme. It just doesn't apply.
But it does apply to lefties, and it's eating away at them. They know it does. They know they parrot the same shit over and over. They know they behave like unthinking robots doing what they're told to do, saying what they're told to say.
This meme looks designed to shatter the democrat base. It has the makings of a schwerpunkt strategy: Tremendous effort and energy expended in the critical time and location to unravel the enemy and route him completely in a single daring move.
So far, it seems to be working.
John Garcia
>thread is about it dying in mid September. >posts a proof screen shot from mid October. Cmon son.
>What makes me so confident that this meme was forced is the fact that I was confident that it died This is one of the most retarded things I've ever read.
That is when it came back. it did die in september look at
Austin Morales
Legally strangle all Mossad agents with garrote wire in a peaceful non violent manner.
Lucas Wood
So it died in September because people were banned in October? Your screen shot is from a month after the OP. Did you look at the dates on it? Unless I'm missing your point.
Jayden Bailey
>everyone forgets what was going on during that dip in activity.
No it died in september, and came back hard in october to strong resistance from mods why are you so thick?
Adam Brown
Yeah this. If it was forced, it was coasting during that time with the generals. Then picked up again after. I get called a schizo for noticing it.
Mason Ortiz
The democrats are the ones with the bot armies. Sometimes they use them against themselves to make the playing field seem even.
Angel Hall
Exactly..? it was forced and the mods even tried to stop it but it was not enough. it was obviously organised.
David Campbell
Or to validate whatever theyre saying.
Xavier Kelly
Organized, but it wasn't organized by the left.
Connor Ortiz
The only thing forced is the contrarian opposition to it. I’ve read some of the most ridiculous things about why it shouldn’t be a meme, it’s dead, it’s hypocritical, etc etc etc. those are the only things forced about it. Just like this thread where some assmad autist posts “research” and “trends” as if it means a fucking thing.
Bentley Torres
Like I said dude. Clearly I wasn't seeing how your screen shot was connected. That's why I asked if I was missing the point. I feel like it was originally a d/c, it didn't catch on so they went with the low effort no u. At this point it's Pepe tier
Julian Reed
It kills me how you faggots claim to be so above groupthink but all fall in single file behind a forced meme.
Jaxson Walker
Of course not, the left can't make a meme that is bigger than pepe that just is not possible.
Daniel Allen
You might be right
Anyways the meme took off and is organic now. It doesn't really matter if it was forced to begin with. It struck a nerve and exploded. I love it.
Jaxson Fisher
there were 3 threads originally. one with the female pepe saying something like hey, wanna hear a story. I hope this helps
Gavin Turner
Wait what 4chin poster? Shit is always dead here until normies pick it up a month later. Have faith soigoi
Jason Powell
There's actually good content coming from it now. It was pleb tier for months.
It's forced, unfunny and everyone who calls it out for what it is gets immediately called an NPC by the few tards that are forcing it as a meme in the first place.
Memes are designed to be funny, inside jokes. Insults never make good memes. Even ironic insults. I can't think of an insult meme that became good.
Right now you're shilling this as there's an active thread using the npc meme to reprogram and redirect the npcs and here you are just kiking as hard as a kike can kike if a could even kike this hard. Fucking kys and sagechamber
Jonathan Martinez
>only Jow Forums exists spread out a bit.
Wyatt Howard
>but the NPC meme was spammed by a few people That's every meme dipshit. I've been tryna get this little fella on the front page of r/Jow Forums for the past week. Can some of you help, or at least say howdy?
how? wtf are you talking about 'this' were not on faceberg you know

>Insults never make good memes. Even ironic insults. I can't think of an insult meme that became good.
It's only an insult if you identify with it, AND think it's a bad thing to be a follower/lemming.
James Taylor
Holy fuck, batman! This shit should be extremely simple to fucking EVERYONE! NPC meme triggers every superficial fucker on the planet because it points out how how fake and worthless they are in a way that goes beyond spoken language! Liberals just so happen to be almost exclusively superficial and it triggers the fuck out of them! But they can't say much because it doesn't apply specifically to them! They also are incapable of using it as the concept flies right over their fucking heads! And it is not exclusively liberals that are this way but people from every group imaginable in the WORLD! And because of this, it is so easy to find out who is an NPC: Do you react negatively towards this meme? If yes, then it applies to you. They don't even know why. But here's the trick.
Those who are not offended but instead relish in it's effectiveness are naturally conscience of themselves. And this does not fit the criteria for AI, automatons or robots which require outside stimuli (inputs) to function. The meme simply doesn't apply to these people and they therefore have no reason to hate it beyond "I'm just tired of seeing it everywhere".
Yeah, for three weeks it was within our circle. We talked about it and how relevant it is to describe the left. No one called a libtard an NPC until some fag on twitter did and all hell was unleashed.
