Everytime they opened the gate, caravaners would try pushing it open which led to skirmishes. Tear gas was used but the canisters were quickly tossed off bridge. Pepper spray was the most effective here. It angered caravaners that then started throwing stones that line either side of bridge street at guards and gate. Mexicans are aware of the paying of these people and are angry they have been put on the spot.
