Disinformation would be an incorrect fact, but post-truth would be a rejection of a subjective truth. The real issue is not what you read, but what you think.
They view fact checking and online banning as bandaids. Fact checking will refute unauthorized talking points without explicitly repeating them (strawmanning) to ensure that you don’t hear it from them too. Banning will be sold as purging fake accounts. All of that is reactive though. Their main goal is a proactive propaganda service to get out ahead of “fake news”.

I took a look through the threads last night, specifically the ones related to some pew poll about facts or opinions. The whole thread was filled with people redefining what fact and truth were. This seems like a little more next level than the usual tactics and is frankly pretty terrifying. I hope that everyone keeps in mind that there is some effort to redefine truth and fact that is just beginning, and people should be mindful to not allow these to be redefined through subtle suggestions. I think we need to start raising awareness of this, because it is so subtle and subversive that it could actually cause real damage. It is interesting though that this seems to have originated simultaneously in a mainstream pew poll though. Definitely a coordinated effort. Have not spotted it in the wild aside from this though.
