The direct contrast is good:
Communism has no index of value anywhere in its theory. None at all.
There is no possible way for those in charge of central administration of the economy to determine what efforts are good to engage VS ones that are counterproductive.
There is also no index of efficiency because there is no index of value, and therefore no indicator that can be used to favor efficient process introduction over inefficient methods.

Lacking these then of course people will eventually face the situation where they are building many trucks but refining no oil, or starving without farming while producing exquisite shoes.
Even though the Soviet introduced artificial indices of value, it still succumbed to this problem.
China has this problem now in real estate market (among others) -- and may collapse because of this imbalance.

I have read Marx as well.
He has no happy stories and the transitions between phases are like magic, with no clear causation and no guidelines for how the managerial class is to conduct itself, as there is supposed to be a centrally commanded economy (as well as society) and yet no commanding category.
Somehow everyone becomes a perfect altruist and the needs and plans of every individual are known by magic.

It isn't what is in Marx that is so much the problem as what was left out by Marx.
We have seen the consistent effects of improvisation over these omissions throughout the 20th century, though.

Because the left wing keep straw manning the same argument that they've been pulling out their ass for 50 years; trickle-down economics. This economic theory doesn't have a set of academic literature stating the economic theory nor explaining what school of economic theory it's from, being from supply-side economics, keynesian economics or from another school.

here is an irrefutable explanation of why communism can never work.

Socialism according to Marx exists only to bridge the gap between the necessary evil of capitalism and the inevitable 'utopia' of communism
Under communism, the means of production are owned, by definition, by the state.
Under communism there exists no free market as the state sets prices.
Without subtracting the input from the output, one cannot do cost accounting. It cannot be determined if production is more efficient under communism than under capitalism, or if production is more efficient than last week, or if it is even profitable at all, as "profits" are illegal.

You use your money to buy flour, yeast, rent an oven for a day, ect. Why do you do this? To bake bread. Why? Because you have determined and bet that there is a market for bread. You invest $50 and bake 50 loaves. So $1/loaf is your input cost. Your research says people will pay $2 or more for good bread every day, but they'll only pay $0.50/loaf for shitty bread. So, if you bake shitty bread you'll only be able to sell it for $25, half of the cost of production, a loss. But, if you are reasonably sure you can bake great bread, you may invest the time and money to bake 50 loaves and sell them for $100. It cost you $50 to make so your profit is $50, you have doubled your money, pretty good.

But under socialistic conditions, there can never be any cost accounting. That's why there is always bread lines and famines in communist countries, even in breadbaskets like Ukraine and Rhodesia/Zimbabwe. Communism is genocide. Socialism and democracy must be opposed as a moral imperative.

The elites know that communism is a sick joke that can never work and they revel in tricking the goyim into doing their bidding, the logic is, if theyre too stupid to realize its a trick, then they deserve slavery

The more I've re-read Marx over the years suspicion has grown in me that he simply did not understand people (neither normals nor elites), economics, politics, the phenomenon of money, how a business (large or small) is run, logistics, agriculture, accounting, or how one goes about acquiring and retaining a job.

A dictatorship by the proletariat was used in contrast to a dictatorship by the aristocracy or bourgeoisie. It describes a society where workers hold the power of the state. It came about in a time where there were restrictions on democratic power base on wealth or heritage.

The dictatorship part comes from Marx' belief that any state is inherently dictatorial.

This doesn't answer the Jap's main point, which is that what 'control of the state by the workers' will actually entail or how and why those in power would voluntarily relinquish it.
