Sessions wanted the job and was one of the first few Senators to endorse Trump. Clearly, in hindsight he wasn't a good pick, but at the time he was considered a good pick.

I'd find it hard to believe he won't pass reform of some kind. I think in typical Trump fashion he will legalize weed, but then go after narcotics even harder.
