You and your fellow LEOs should keep in mind that no one really cares about legal vs illegal. People care about good vs evil. It is a moral imperative to oppose laws if they are evil. The other thing to keep in mind is that as much as you cower behind secret home addresses, unlisted phone numbers, and fake social media accounts, you are never safe. No one needs to know where you live. They know where you work. No one needs to know your home phone number. They know your work number. Every single person knows how to get the police to a specific, pre-planned spot at the exact time necessary for a deadly ambush. If you cops wish to survive beyond the next decade, you'd better get your shit together now. You now have three generations of adults who are done putting up with your shit. I'm 30 years old as well and spent my early childhood in Gwinnett county. Didn't know this guy, maybe he's not from Gwinnett or went to a different elementary school than me.
Gwinnett used to be white. I watched the invasion happen when I was a kid. There's hardly any whites left there now. Gwinnett was flooded with beaners and blacks in the 90s. Like a tidal wave of them. We moved around 1995 or 1996 right when the demographics there tipped.

There is no area in the United States that has changed for the worse between the years 1990-Now more than the Atlanta metro area.
The 1996-Atlanta Olympics stadium in Gwinnett even had to be torn down last year after it was abandoned, it only survived 20 years, they even had to close down Target and Walmarts in the area because the place was getting so bad.
The population demographic shift has been sudden and devastating for the area, and the problems then spread to the Carolinas - the Carolinas are the next place to go, Myrtle Beach is nothing like it was 20 years ago.

I've been in the metro Atlanta area since 1994 and I want to agree with you as it's definitely gone to a bit of shit that I see and experience daily, but even on good days, my instincts tell me to get the hell out. But worse than Detroit? idk as I've never been to Detroit so it's possible that everything I've heard about it could be exaggerated.
But yeah, Atlanta is fudged. It's a timebomb.
