>2nd round polls: BOLSONARO 59% X HADDAD 41% (Datafolha) Bolsonaro vs. Haddad run-off will happen in October 28th.
>BACKGROUND
Jair Bolsonaro is the front-runner in Brazil's presidential election. He is a conservative Christian, pro-gun, a former army captain, and the only candidate with no corruption charges against him. He's looking to modernise the lethargic Brazilian economy with the aid of UChicago economist Paulo Guedes. He wants to align Brazil's foreign policy with Western nationalist governments against the influence of China, Eurasianism and regional socialism (Venezuela and Cuba). He has a hard stance on crime and supports increasing the power of police forces and the army to tackle Brazil's drug and violence problems. Under heavy fire from the media and academia, with an extremely restricted campaign budget, and having survived an assassination attempt, Bolsonaro's presidential run is nothing short of extraordinary.
JB's antagonist in the presidential race is Fernando Haddad, a sociologist, former minister of education under Lula and former mayor of São Paulo. He's running for the left-wing Labour Party (PT) under the guidance of former president Lula, who is currently in prison after being convicted for corruption and money laundering. PT had been the ruling party in Brazil for 13 years, but is facing high rejection in the polls after a police investigation uncovered the largest known corruption scheme in Brazilian history, which PT architected.
For user in the last thread 1 - his chances are 11/10. Lula himself admitted that, barring some incredible earthshattering miraculous scandal, Haddad already lost. 2 - He already won most of the congress, and the president has much more power here than in the US. 3 - Pro gun. Wants to allow citizens to own small firearms, bring in firearm companies from abroad and drastically lower the requirements and bureaucracy required to become a firearm owner. I don't think Brasil is ready for military grade weapons, but in 4 years, after all the stigma is gone and the criminality problem is being dealt with, then he can start on it on his second term, along with bringing back THE EMPIRE
The US uses a series of proxies to influence foreign elections. The main proxy is the National Endowment for Democracy, NED, which receives $100 million in taxpayer dollars. The NED et al coordinates all of it’s activities with the State Department. The NED has a series of shell organizations to target specific ideological groups, social classes, and countries. The shell organization used to support center-left parties is the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs, the NDI.
The US is using these to influence the Brazilian election. The NED has published pieces on its website which call Bolsonaro a threat to democracy and the rule of law. Foreign Policy Magazine, the mouthpiece of the State Department, has also published similar attacks on Bolsonaro. The NDI published a piece on its website declaring that Haddad was a champion of anti-corruption and “social justice” while condemning Bolsonaro.
Clearly the US prefers Haddad to Bolsonaro. How deep does this clandestine support go?
The important question is how many can I buy? He can try.

I would rather elect Frota in 2026 than Dória.

Deep State shenanigans. Most Americans don't know dick about Brazil. Trump and the Republicans just need to defund these quangos. I'm sure we'll get along fine with Bolsonaro.
trump and the republicans on his side probably view bolsonaro as favorable due too idealogical reasons I'd personally say deep state shenanigans because our government is very fractured right now
Same. Doria is possibly the worst name to emerge recently barring shameless commie candidates.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand the United States of Brazil. The economics is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of complex analysis most of the plans will go over a typical reader's head. There's also Deodoro's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Michael O'Rourke literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these plans, to realise that they're not just smart- they say something deep about Brazil. As a consequence people who dislike the United States of Brazil truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Deodoro's existential catchphrase "Why did she pick him over me?" which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Benjamim Constants genius wit unfolds itself on their computer screens. What fools.. how I pity them.
And yes, by the way, i DO have a United States of Brazil tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid
It will be weird to see Trump interacting with Bolsonaro. Trump is well traveled, knows a lot of people, is a legendary negotiator. Bolsonaro is a total redneck who can't speak a word of English... I don't know how he'll do in diplomacy.

Something I like to think about: >20/10 >Lula on his “cell”, sitting pretty, a bit disgruntled since Andrade ain’t doing too well. >Starts watching the news >”Horario eleitoral gratuito” >Squid nods in approval at seeing how brave Andrade got at calling out Bolso’s support of torture >Hopes for petista victory rises >Comes Bolso’s propaganda >Seems normal enough, until... >Nordeste music starts >Squid nearly chokes on his lunch, that dude is giving norderstinos hope >Muh nordeste >On this single moment, he realizes PT is done for, they lost their way. >Doesn’t even have a bottle of cachaça to drown his sorrows

Several people around Trump shill for Bolsonaro. Eduardo met Trump Jr and had talks with him, the pastors who meet all the time with Trump and pence in the White House, like Mario bramnick, support him, and even Michelle Bachmann is said to be enthusiastic about him Walid Phares, who works for Fox and was on Trump's campaign, is also talking positively about Jair on Twitter for the last few days, and someone named Dana something sent a message to Trump warning that Iran hates Bolsonaro
Landon Cruz
sorry for taking up so much of the thread but I gotta ask does brazil have something similar to no step on snek?
Just to explain something about brazil to those that are a bit confused, brazil is not just about left and right. Brazil have at least 3 political sides: Left, Right and Glow in the dark CIA niggers, also known as "centrão". Nobody like the centrão, nobody vote for the centrão purposefully, but the centrão always find a way to sneak back in. The centrão is the party of corruption, of selling out to the megacorporations, the party of the "status quo", and the party that the brazilian media generally actually shills for.
We are probably going to get fucked by Amoedo Cucks, the media will support him against PSL's candidate in 2022. Amoedo will allow all the globalist/marxist cultural agenda while pleasing the media with economy.
fuck Doria opportunistic fake, soon he'll also betray Bolsonaro
Josiah Russell
i know, that's why i said eduardo bolsonaro but yeah, i can see amoedo becoming big

The globalist favoured candidate was Alckmin, but his campaign was dead at birth. Now they seem to be desperate and willing to support anyone who might stop Bolsonaro, including the hardcore frankfurtian communist Haddad, who literally supports incest in order to dismantle capitalism. The traditional elites however are mostly pro-Bolsonaro by now.
It's one of Bolsonaro's famous phrases. While discussing with a female politician she, as she got closer screaming at Bolsonaro he said: "Da que eu te dou outra" (Hit me and I will hit you back).
The left plays this clip over and over to call him sexist. kek

Its very hard to predict what is going to happen from now to then. But one thing is for sure, NOVO has no chance of winning without doing a big display against "ideologia de gênero", that is for sure. I think NOVO has more conservative based candidates in it that could run. But heck, we have no idea of what is going to happen until then.
And a small note: Bolsonaro said nothing about increasing the presidency term along with removing re-elections. He may rise it to 5 or 6 years.
It would reach our normies thing is most of the common ppl love a strongman who's tough on crime and doesn't back down from a fight thing is most politician's don't understand that for some reason
