A tiny generation bookended by the massive generations of Millennials on one side and Boomers on the other Gen X has become the nothing generation of modern times. With a "whatever" non conformist attitude from the get go Gen X failed to enter the social ranks and make an impact. Further worsening the situation a majority of Gen X has managed to drink itself to into alcoholic oblivion while many of its ranks overdosed and died or just gave up and committed suicide. Now that the horrid reality of its generation's lack of accomplishments and failure to make a social or economic impact is hitting hard in Gen X's final years it can't help but be wondered, "What went so wrong for Gen X?"

GenX are the generation that cracked plenty of establishment bullshit in a time where media was astroturfed as fuck. Having said that they were probably the generation that could somewhat do as the boomers did with house, car and holidays. The problem was dispite the relative goodness of the Silent and Greatest generations they felt they were uniformly "too old" to make a change. Likewise with the Boomers except that they changed it for the worse. GenX may have felt lonely that they had no-one to team with and GenY/Millenials was still running around with diapers and watching He-Man, Thundercats, Eagle Ridders etc. Until the mid to late 1990's Millenials kind of understood the estabishment bullshit and even discovered the NWO/Illuminati. Once Millenials were "old enough" to use the internet the information exploded Millenials were "woke as fuck" from content made by the GenX and woke boomers. Suddenly they were not lonely any more people observed, subscribed and commented on their content and even became something to talk about irl.
Sadly for several GenX'ers they couldnt take it and have resigned to alcoholism, drugs and so forth. I mean there was no MGTOW back then for instance if anything by the grace of good furtune they had Al Bundy's "No Ma'am" and every once in a while a sample of red pills.

One of my first memories of the internet was chatting with random people at the age of 10 in 1994. The idea of a whole world existing full of people with different experience shaped how I viewed the world. The internet was and is a double edged sword for society.

Boomers were the first generation targeted by the highest concentration power and of mass-media in history. I remember as a kid growing up in the early 90's having to endure all these documentaries on TV celebrating boomers as this revolutionary generation who changed everything for the better... but basically they were just hoardes of NPC's following along with elite agendas much of the time. Good example of this is the popularity of 'The Beatles', I had to endure so many documentaries talking about how this band changed the world along with their fans... but The Beatles were basically a product of record companies at their most powerful being able to leverage mass-media to influence the minds of most young people at the time, the Beatles weren't even really 'trailblazers' in anything - even the shit about LSD was just an attempt by them to co-opt the culture of people who'd come before them.
