There won't be any military action. Even deploying the National Guard would be stretching it. Some people will be held in the countries they pass through. Others are going to make it. In such large numbers, the capacity of law enforcement agencies will be limited. Many will be caught and returned, but most will get through. There is no way Trump is going to pull a stunt on this and block everyone from entering. He already chose to withdraw financial aid to the countries in question.

First off: plan A is out; this is literally a case of “if you kill your enemies, they win”. These beaners are being used as pawns to create strife and killing them maximizes that strife. Moreover, they need to remain alive and in Mexico to punish Mexico for allowing them safe passage.

So phase one is an invisible voice telling them to turn around, followed by people collapsing in pain and being unable to move. This is guaranteed to have a great psychological impact that will deter those further back from approaching. This isn’t an enemy they can rush to overwhelm with sheer numbers, it is an invisible and omnipotent assailant their monkey-brains wont be able to even comprehend. This makes me think about the wilderbeast migration. At one point, a supermassive herd, numbering tens upon tens of thousands have to move across a river. On the way lions, hyenas and others have predated on stragglers, but the herd barely gets smaller. The river on the other hand is the one place where they can't outrun the weak ones, where they are in a foreign enviroment and the river is packed with crocodiles. The border makes me think about the river. A temporary strengthening of the border itself (more crocodiles) and moving more funds to ICE to keep patrols going 24/7 during this time (putting packs of hyenas on the other end) would be a good way to go about it.

I understand the non-lethal route. I just don't think it will work. These people have traveled thousands of miles to cross the border. They may be stopped at the border for a time.
