They aren't traditionally associated but they probably did absorb a lot of Semitic blood long before the Arab expansion. Many of the philosophers of the Greek tradition that became the early Christian church fathers are referred to as Hellenistic Jews and Semites. The Hellenistic world maintains the most ancient form of Christianity and the Aramaic language from those Hellenistic "Semites".
