you can look at polls in a lot of states and get a good idea of what's going to happen. but Texas and Florida are almost always wrong. democrats are always polling higher than the ultimate turnout proves. Both candidates are bad, but Gillum seems like a long shot on a good day. I think a lot of people are very leery of another Republican for Governor after Rick Scott. He seemed to piss off everybody equally. So I'm not surprised that the race is close, but I don't think Gillum is really up by 6 points unless you account for a lame turnout by republicans and independents.
