You'd have to have proper reception inside the package, which might not be guaranteed.. Requires an action at the time of the actual bombing, one that sends a remote signal no less. There'd have to be some trace left on cell towers near, and they'd probably check for that immediately.. If you use a cheap digital watch like you can theoretically give yourself a 23+ hour headstart before the thing blows up, and there will be no phone signal directly from you to the place of the explosion when it finally goes off... I'd wager the majority of bombs planted by terrorists DON'T use cellphones.. Cellphone detonation is nice when you're in some shitty desert waiting for a Humvee to pull up, but it's probably not the best choice if you're going to be attacking governmental buildings and major news agencies in the western world.. Never even mind the District of Columbia.
