Why is everything so expensive these days

I can barely afford roommates at 60k once utilities, food, etc. are involved. Everything is so expensive. I'm not paycheck to paycheck but I'm pretty damn close.

Move, moron. I left the Silicon Valley area where a studio apartment runs around three grand a month and came to the southwest desert. I now pay $600 a month for a 2 bedroom apartment.

Maybe you should just apply yourself. I only made 50 cents an hour when I first starting working, and now I’m worth several million! Just takes lots of hard work and not being an entitled millennial. Try it sometime!

I live in the midwest and I pay the same. Get the fuck away from the coasts, OP.

Git gud

Yeah, you live in the wrong place. 60k is more than enough to afford a decent apartment in any part of the country that isn't the coastal shitheaps

>Git gud
Words to live by.

Yeah but all the jobs are at Wal Mart and everyone is obese.

Huh, it's almost as if when you use debt and loans to pay for everything money loses it's purchasing power, causing more money to get printed to try and stabilize the money supply, which only causes inflation in the long term. Really makes you think.
Oh yeah to answer your question more generally, because people.

it's only expensive if you are poor
that's the said thing about it. nobody will sympathize with you unless he's equally poor.

Here is my kitten.
Cat food is pretty expensive. I had to catch insects to feed it

You gotta problum with that, user?
*jiggles aggressively*

This is what blows my mind. I am a member of a trade union in a very metropolitan city. Everyone of us is gun touting red necks who just report there for work. City people refuse to organize and blame all their troubles on capitalism....meanwhile we are working with contractors to make sure they are giving us a fair wage. I don't get it. I am a HUGE supporter of the rights of the working class, but like any right, you can choose to exercise it or not. These people prefer to think that the shit piece of paper they paid $40k+ for makes them a valuable asset to society. Meanwhile I am making great pay and benefits all over my home state.

Why would you expect to have more than you need?
