South Nashville - Franklin - Murfreesboro Triagle is a really interesting place to live, and it as seen an absolutely massive surge in population, industry, and construction over the past 5 years or so. There's some really cool spots, like the Opry Mills mall, which shits on any other mall I've ever been to, and I've been to way too many malls.

Chattanooga area is meh and the population is stagnant

West TN is meh and the most notable feature is the horde of nogs in Memphis

East TN is beautiful and has a bunch of fun tourist locations in the mountains

Chattanooga is a great outdoor city though. If you like mountain biking, kayaking, fishing, swimming, hiking, etc, it might be worth it. They won't be in the nice areas anyway, just like Knoxville.
