Henry Ford created two cities for his workers, Dearborn (for the whites) and Inkster (for the blacks). The cities didn't interfere with each other and the workers were paid equally. You've got a serious case of selection bias happening there because only the upper percentages of black people live in areas like that. The problem is that for a long time black Americans were segregated and treated differently, they lived in their own communities and developed their own sense of identity, one that was explicitly anti-white, now they don’t see themselves as Americans the same way the rest of Americans do, they talk, dress and think differently and they have no intention of assimilating into the main National identity.
You need to take this outside of a US centric context to understand.
