The only reason we switched sides was so that we wouldn't get eradicated by the soviets both marshal Antonescu and king Michael knew that the war was lost, and wanted peace. Antonescu wanted to keep the line to make an armastice with the message that we won't surrender, and the king wanted it done sooner expecting it to fail anyway(at least sooner then later). Once the king made the coup, he DID ofer the germans to retreat from romania peacefully without allowing the soviets in and remain as 'friends'. But the germans actually attacked us and we were forced to both allow the soviets to march in and to defeat germany. So realy, it was germany's fault if anything actualy happend
