I believe neither desu. He didn't point out it was false. He just pointed out that the source might be dubious. My hunch is that it was probably al qaeda uyghurs who were exaggerating; and if they were revealed, they would be arrested and disappeared by the Hon. His blaming America of imperialism as the cause is also dubious tho. If we were actual imperialists, we would be occupying, colonizing, profiteering, and completely subjugating the native occupants. He's also leaving out that the Hon are actually doing that to Uyghurs (because of oil deposits). But then again, the Uyghurs did it to the group that were there before them and that group did it to the white eurasians before them. US's interests would be solely for destabilization of the region, not expanding an empire. We would end up losing money in the deal overall, spending it on weakening China's geopolitical influence.
