Because some Czech in the last thread was going to lecture me on the definition of nationalism and why it's "not like the EU", so I had to remind them the Confederates saw nationalism like we see the EU, and they had better ideas of nation-states with a very lose national government, and that they didn't think the government should be able to have say technology 50+ years more advanced than the states and monopolize on certain technologies, and that we fought for technology to be equal and that we could have as much power as a state as a national government. It's anime in general. You see anime always write characters that are horribly unlikeable to me. they exaggerate character features to 11, so if someone its dittzy its a super fuck-up, if it's a lazy char then you can lift him up to vacuum the dirt from before the war under him and if its an energetic character, it's going to be a tasmanian devil. then writers often write these "oopsie doopsie"-moments into that are just... JUST. and don't get me started on the oversexualization or predictabillity of chars. i had a weeb friend once and i punched him in the nose because he called me X-kun irl in front of people whose social integrity i didnt want to risk.

Imagine a future that's very environmental, and instead of you waking up to go slave away the day, you send your UNLIMITED AMOUNT of slaves to work, while you have the entire day to do whatever you want. You collect their paycheck, but maybe give them a couple thousand a year as well as provide for them housing and food and clothing. You could create slave cities where everyone works as a slave and maybe they don't know it, and you have your own oasis you and other slave owners can go to and discuss anything out in the open, even have your house rigged up with machine guns and have open carry with no gun registrations.
The CSA would have worked out but would have been better, because the industrial shite would have just been the slaves going to the plants to work, instead of dad. War would be fought between slaves as well.
