The National Party it seems have wanted to style themselves as a sort of Irish equivalent to the BNP, except that they won't hold rallies in public because their numbers wouldn't fill a classroom and they're scared that they're getting the shite kicked out of them. What's the point in having such a group? Ireland doesn't need a radical right wing fringe party, Ireland needs a moderate right wing part with a populist message that will appeal to voters we need to look at the growth of other right wing groups in Europe and learn from their example. Justin Barret with his homophobia and death penalty for abortionst attitudes quite simply is not a suitable face for any populist movement wanting to get off the ground in one of the most liberal countries in the EU. Irexit Freedom is a step in the right direction but even then I fear that they are placing too much emphasis on an Irexit which is something that would potentially do catastrophic damage to Ireland's economy, pull Ireland back under the influence of Britain and wouldn't even necessarily improve the situation here with regards to immigrants.

I get as depressed as fuck too and for good reason, not just the political shit show going on, but trust me, doing weights and going for regular runs are the only things that keep me relatively sane and I always, ALWAYS feel better after working out/running.
