I was in GATE when in elementary. I can’t remember much but it WAS held in a windowless room. I also remember drawing a lot of geometric patterns. I still remember how to draw them if anyone’s interested.

those are the fucking cards I was talking about in the last thread, I had to concentrate on the back of the card and "see through it" while the "instructor" held it up. we had to do one 10 round guessing game, then we did some tangrams for a few minutes to get our mental stimuli up, then we did another 10 round game to see if we perfromed better than the last round. always felt like the instructor was a witch or cult member, she gave out that sort of vibe, she would always wear black or gray clothes and wore crystal necklaces, now that I think about it she could of been one of those new age whack jobs.

I was in GATE from 94 to 96 (4th grade thru 6th) and it was pretty fuck normal. Twice a month went to a different school, normal classrooms, normal teachers, only diffence was the curriculum. Did a bunch of science-y stuff, puzzle solving, critical thinking, problem solving, etc. It wasn't weird at all and I looked forward to it because it was way more fun than normal school.
