Fixed from last thread due to lack of Awoos. Mildly disturbing but whatever...
putting two separate entry points for wires is illogical, using insulation that thick is illogical, using plastic is illogical. drilling two large holes reduces pressure buildup inside of the bomb, this is what makes pressure cooker bombs so deadly. The energy is released slowly if the explosion is in a weak casing using a metal canister with a single hole would allow for a far superior PSI. and ultimately what kills in these blasts is either traumatic brain injury or fragmentation, not damage to the cavities or some giant movie explosion. The Unabomber proved these types of bombs are highly survivable and impractical. using plastic is extremely stupid as plastic does not shatter or fragment well, especially not PVC. this would leave minimal fragmentation with two large chunks instead of a nice frag grenade esque pattern. not only are these points valid, but the battery inside that clock is probably so crappy it couldn't effectively detonate a blasting cap if whatever explosive that is theoretically inside of the pipe is sensitive enough to be set off by the tiny battery that powers the clock AFTER it's been run through that length of wire, no chance it survives the mail. None of that matters though since it only needs to look like a bomb to achieve its purpose.
