My great grandfather fought in WW2 (I'm no zoomer, he was old and my grandfather was 16 when the war ended) and he brought back a few bits of "loot". Namely an officer's saber, armband, and Luger. My mom still has the saber and armband, but the Luger was given away by my grandfather. He really hated his father. So after he died and my grandfather inherited the things, he gave the Luger, the most prized part of the meager collection to a friend of his who had a gun collection. Just to spite his dad.
