It sits at one of the corner of the Kaaba and like what I've explained before, its a mere direction guide rather than the object to be worshipped.

Let put it this way; Muslim touch and kiss the rock not because of the rock, they touch and kiss because their prophet does the same.
So rather than 'worshipping' the rock, its merely and act of following and copying the prophet action in reverence to him.
