You can think in the patterns you are trained in using, a trained cab driver visualizes the entire way instantly using a physical blob of neurons we can measure in him which represents a map of the area he works in. A trained mathematician can think using his trained symbols and operations directly.

Most young people have no such specialized training to rely on so it's fine to rely mostly on words but if you're old and still doing that you wasted a lot of the potential of your mind for training.

Well hardly anyone can literally see in their mind's eye. If you can picture something enough to recall or create its details, you don't have aphantasia. For example, if you can remember how your fathers eyes or hairstyle looks, you have normal capability for imagination.

NPCs are real and can be accurately categorized as the three types of Neutrals within Character Alignment. There are three types of neutrals, of course: Lawful, True, and Chaotic.

I think everyone has the capacity to visualize and hear things in their head and interact with them, but if it's something deeply rooted in the development of their behavior patterns while growing up.
