They will then brandish arms and shoot at the soldiers. The soldiers will return fire killing all of them. The public will freak out. That was me in the other thread. It turns out that the article was right. Likely someone in congress or connected to someone there leaked it out. We got a warnord yesterday, but it had been in the pipeline above our level for at least a week.

I can at least tell you that we aren’t going to be armed for now. My particular unit will be doing surveillance and patrolling.

82nd has been called to many events that did not involve armed conflict. We also respond to natural disasters, states of emergency, riots, and occasionaly things like border security. All of this is rolled up into Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA), which is an 82nd mission.

The actual school isn’t bad if you have a bit of courage and can follow basic instructions. The only “tests” are the standard Army Physical Fitness Test at the beginning, the formation runs, and jumping (which you fail either by refusinf to jump, hurting yourself, or dying).
