It was a close air supprt bomber that was only usefull in an agressive war , just like stukas , and just like stukas which were not used in the defencive late stage war by germans , they were useless in the defencive war , yet in fact Stalin ordered construction of more than 100,000 Su-2s . You figure out what he planned to do with them .
