It isn't about our past, any of it. Christianity doesn't work for many of us. It doesn't make sense, doesn't 'feel' spiritually correct, doesn't give us the sense of warmth and protection I've heard explained to me before. This is about rebuilding other world views better suited to our needs. I find close ties to the natural world to be infinitely more spiritually rewarding and comforting than monotheistic religion.
