Hey mods, this is the meta Jow Forums thread, which is allowed. No need to prune.
Let’s talk about the porn spam. The last thread about this was just moved, wrongly in my opinion, since pol is allowed one meta thread.
Currently, blacked, trap and porn threads (besides being against the rules) are allowed to reach 300+ replies every day. Porn OP pics for unrelated topics in threads is the biggest issue.
I regularly report these threads. At night, I report the cp threads that inevitably pop up.
This morning, my ban was lifted for posting about a pb&j sandwich a few days ago because it was “off-topic”.
What has been your experience with banning, Jow Forums? Do you feel your bans make sense given the current catalogue of the board?
good topic, i've been marking my calendar every time i see a lot of porn being posted here and i think i'm discovering a cycle. i think the kikes are trying to make us masturbate and ruining our nofap cycles. how can we convert semen retention into bigbrains if the kikes keep posting naked beautiful huwhite women that make my benis very hard?
I regularly report Jow Forums threads and nothing happens, same with extremely low quality posts and shit that breaks the rules in the sticky like "am I white?" and other shit

Do you report the porn threads too? I also report things that have porn in the thumbnail, and I have never seen them deleted.
As an unironic Christian, this sort of thing ticks me off.

Every night at 3am est like clockwork I use the “violates” US law option and sometimes the threads still just age out naturally and are never deleted.

Some boards are worse than others. For example, you can't go to /tv/ later than 10pm eastern these days.
I don't fault the mods. They have to be going nuts trying to keep track of all the posts in the various boards; but I also think that this issue is endangering the whole site.
A lot of people are posting it because they think they can get away with it (like sneaking it into sticky threads)
A lot of people are posting it just to be edgy, because they think it's funny to distract people.
But in the long run it goes toward outsiders painting this site as being a test tube growing degenerate and anti-social behavior.
I don't know if there is even a solution. Self-regulation doesn't work when you still have bad actors who won't self-regulate. If they put the hammer down firm they risk losing the free-speech that makes this site valuable.
I suppose we can keep reporting images that are in violation of policy and hope that the posters wear out before we (and the mods) wear out.
But I agree with others that the BS slide threads and organized raids from outside parties are worse in the big scheme of things.

They moved one another user posted to /qa/, but we are allowed to have a meta thread. Their move. It doesn’t make sense to keep doing that if this is within the rules for this board.

Which brings up another issue... they should possible add to the list of rules violations in the report option.
For example, speaking of another board (/TV/) there are endless posts asking "what movies have this look" that are used to post images that, if not purely illegal, are still posted for the idea of promoting illegal activity.
So in those cases, I hesitate to report under "illegal activity", but I can't find a rule violation in the list of options, even though the posts are obviously in violation of the rules.

It’s the same with porn here. You can’t just report porn because it’s against the rules, you have to select “porn not related to the topic” If the topic is pornographic in nature, technically it doesn’t make sense to report it for that. I do it anyway.
