You really have no concept of how much money they have, how large their markets are, or how long it will take for electric vehicles to really cut into their profit margins.

They'll sell that shit to run fuel-oil power plants, and only the cheapest and easiest to get oil to keep costs down, they'll use their trillion dollars or so of market cap to invest in alternatives, like the raw materials for Musk's batteries, or half a dozen hydrogen fuel cell advances that could be amazing in the long term.
