I’ll tell you the fate of Romania if you care to read it. The EU is going to collapse within a small amount of time. I don’t know when but it’s soon. Romania has actually opened up trade with the US. Just look up “Romania US trade”. The country is also sitting on a huge bed of resource that US companies are interested in albeit some resources like gold, copper, and iron are far from easily mined. Despite this, Romania has entered a sort of arrangement for infrastructure with the US. This is the reason Romania is increasing military funds despite split and corrupt leadership. They are buy US jets, ships and equipment. Soon Romania will be on par with France in terms of armaments. Within this decade Romania will become a hub of trade not only with the US but other nations seeking allies in a post EU environment. Romania will control the Sea very soon, blocking out many would-be interruptions. Basically Romania is the US’s satellite.

Also Romania bought 54 HIMARS that have a 300km rocket range
>The M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) is a light multiple rocket launcher developed in the late 1990s for the United States Army, mounted on a standard Army M1140 truck frame.
>The HIMARS carries six rockets or one MGM-140 ATACMS missile on the U.S. Army's new Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) five-ton truck, and can launch the entire Multiple Launch Rocket System Family of Munitions (MFOM). HIMARS ammunition is interchangeable with the MLRS M270A1, however it is only able to carry one pod rather than the standard two for the M270 and A1 variants. It was designed as a small, mobile, MLRS, with the ability to 'shoot-and-scoot'.[4]

That is in case the ground units demand rocket artilery support, they need to send the exact coordinates, so they won`t be caught in the blast.

Romania to get 3 new german Type 214 submarines, or something very similar after our older submarine has been retired from service
>Military analyst Ion Petrescu told Euronews: “The new Romanian submarine will be similar to that used by other Nato member states, such as Germany and The Netherlands in order to better coordinate joint operations. It could be even a replica of the German 214 Type submarine, capable of submerging for close to 3 months.”
>A 214 Type can cost up to €500 million. They "Are primarily used as stealthy reconnaissance weapons, doubling also as boat and ship hunters." noted Petrescu

Romania has become a critical ally for the United states of america
>“The problem that Romania has is that the world cares about it. More precisely, empires collide where Romania is. (…) Romania’s problem was that it was part of Europe, a weak power surrounded by stronger ones,” geopolitical analyst George Friedman wrote in his article “Borderlands. A Geopolitical Journey in Eurasia” published by Stratfor.
>Experts point out that Romania is key for America’s interest in the region and this could be a source of tension with its European allies.
>“The Romanians still remain focused on the EU as their economic guide, and the US still expects allies to behave as it does – or pretends it does. There is inevitable friction, but in coming here I realized two things: the centrality of Romania to American interests and the fact that most Americans are not even clear where Romania is, much less that it has become a critical ally,” Friedman wrote in the article “Journey to Europe: Visiting Romania”, published by geopoliticafutures.com.
>Romania’s alliance with the US, inside or outside NATO, and the need to strengthen its army is mainly a consequence of the perceived threat from Russia. “Reality creates policies. Policies don’t create reality. So in the end, it doesn’t matter that the Romanians are focused on the EU and that Americans are not at all focused on Romania. The reality of Russia defines this relationship,” Friedman added.
>However, Romania’s accession to the EU and NATO has helped the country to modernize and develop, and this reality of a borderland between East and West seems obvious to many Western visitors.
Michael Wilson

The Romanians will do things their way. The U.S. relationship is not built on mutual admiration of the other, but on geography. If the U.S. is going to deal with Russia, it needs to deal with any country that borders on both Ukraine and the Black Sea, and that happens to be Romania.
Alexander Nelson

Romanians are now, for the first time in history, wealthier than any neighboring nations, including Hungarians, according to a fresh Credit Suisse report consulted by Business Review.
>In 2018, the wealth per adult in Romania is estimated at USD 42,282, compared with USD 41,118 in Hungary, USD 30,224 in Bulgaria, USD 19,582 in Serbia, USD 5,204 in Ukraine and USD 3,837 in Moldova, Credit Suisse’s “Global Wealth 2018” report indicates.
>Romania has had a very fast growth over the last two decades, but started out from a very low base.
>In 2000, Romania had a wealth per adult of only USD 3,300, much lower than that of Hungary (USD 11,882) or even Georgia (USD 4,494), as widespread poverty and corruption were the norm.
>But this year, Romanians are considered almost two times wealthier than Argentinians or Russians and three times wealthier than Brazilians, according to Credit Suisse.

Romania will get anyway a lot of money from selling black sea gas to Bulgaria, Ukraine Hungary and rep Moldova.
>
Romania could become the third-biggest natural gas producer in Europe due to the offshore gas projects in the Black Sea, according to Francois-Regis Mouton, director of EU affairs at the International Association of Oil and Gas Producers (IOGP).
>He added that the potential gas resources in the Black Sea are over 200 billion cubic meters. These resources will lead to diversifying the gas supply in South-Eastern Europe.
>“For this, we need interconnections, market liberalization and a stable legal framework,” he said, according to local Agerpres.
>According to a Deloitte study, the investments in Black Sea gas will generate extra budget revenues of USD 26 billion and will add some USD 40 billion to Romania’s GDP by 2040.

>Dragnea complained that existing laws are too generous to gas producers. Instead, he proposed a tax on windfall profits ranging from 15 percent to 50 percent. Romania already covers 90% of it`s demand.
The Black sea gas is meant for export and more money to the budget.
Jayden Powell
You just don't understand, do you?!
Romania gov doesn't export, or exploit or sell said resources and many others IT LEASES THEM, as part of their capitalistic policy.
And when Romania leases state owned assets it always does so in the huge loss and disadvantage of itself because corrupt people get paid to do so, no much also.

Actually Romania has state owned companies like TransGaz, which operate along with private companies where the state still keeps a share after privatization

>The country’s national resource agency puts Romania’s Black Sea offshore reserves at about 200 billion cubic meters of gas, which means Romania could almost double its production to about 20 bcm per year over the next two decades. Romania now covers almost all of its own gas needs — except for about 10 percent it imports from Russia’s Gazprom — but a boost in production could see it become an exporter at a time when the rest of the EU is looking for secure sources of supply.

While a part of the gas will be sold internally by companies where the state has a share of the stocks
What part of Romania uses 3 seas initiative and the NATO deterrence actions against Russia to get better terms when dealing with the west?
Do you think trump sent the secretary for energy to Bucharest at the 3 seas initiative just to appear in the newspapers?
Juan Garcia
This is actually true. Countries like Egypt which face little risk due to their alliance to the US, and where 95% of the population hates americans with a passion, got billions of dollars in US armaments. The same thing for many other countries. Meanwhile we got 12 overpriced 1970s third hand Portuguese F-16s and a thousand Russian nuclear missiles pointed at us. It's all a fucking joke, I laugh when I hear all sorts of msm experts say we get "security" due to our "transatlantic alliance".
I think a lot of this is because in an actual military conflict between US and Russia, US generals know that places on the periphery like Romania and the Baltics will just get smothered in tactical nuclear missiles in 2 hours so there is no point to invest there at all. I am not saying there are good geo-political alternatives right now as the Russians are not to be trusted, but things are indeed looking bleak.
Oh and in b4 the missile shields. Most of the missile shields are there to protect targets further to the West, not Romania proper.
