Another thing that Californians are doing is inadvertently pricing native Texans out of the housing market forcing some of them to move out of state. When a Californian moves to Texas the housing is so cheap to them that they're willing to accept a house or apartment that would otherwise be expensive to a texan because Californians are use to paying $1000/month for a crackerjack box next to the train tracks. Landlords and realtors realize they can get away with jacking up prices so they keep the prices high, but that high price in Texas is still cheap to a Californian. I know all of this because I myself am a Californian living in Texas, lol.
