A lot of medicine is also derived from certain plant species within jungles. Killing an entire forest/ jungle is a nigger thing to do.

We've never been able to make those work very well. Artificial CO2 sequestration is just a meme now.
The biggest tool available to us right now is artificially seeding the Antarctic ocean with iron, which is the limited factor to plankton growth. But that's extremely risky and we might be trading too much atmospheric CO2 for something worse.
