/NOVA ERA/ is the place to discuss Brazilian politics during Jair Bolsonaro's presidency.
>BACKGROUND Jair Messias Bolsonaro is a Brazilian congressman and former military officer. He has served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies, representing the state of Rio de Janeiro, since 1991. In an unprecedented presidential run, spending significantly less than his adversaries, under constant fire from the mainstream media, and having survived an assassination attempt, Bolsonaro was elected by the popular vote to the presidency of Brazil. He will take office as the 38th president in January 1st 2019.
Bolsonaro is a pro-gun, pro-life, conservative Catholic. He's looking to modernise the lethargic Brazilian economy with the aid of UChicago economist Paulo Guedes. He wants to align Brazil's foreign policy with Western nationalist governments against the influence of China, Eurasianism and Bolivarian socialism. He has a hard stance on crime and supports increasing the power of police forces and the army to tackle Brazil's drug and violence problems.
>CONFIRMED MINISTERS Onyx Lorenzoni - Chief of Staff Paulo Guedes - Economy General Augusto Heleno - Defense LTC Marcos Pontes - Science and Technology
Bolsonaro will get to pick a bunch of judges "O ministro da Justiça, geralmente, atua como conselheiro do presidente na escolha de integrantes do Judiciário (tribunais e cortes superiores).
It's still not clear what Moro's ideas are aside from judicial things.
Is he against abortion?
Joshua Reed
I fail to see how that's relevant. The law is against abortion and his job is to apply the law
Jayden Moore
Help to share Fiction book with classic liberal/conservative content in portuguese. Os Senhores Feudais is the 1st book of the trilogy Cercados de Liberdade. The aim of the series is to break the hegemonic power of the left in literature.

Our military should plant explosives inside the illegal logs already cut down and let them reach their destination, when we receive news of logs mysteriously exploding while people cut them nothing of value will be lost.
Question for Brazilian bros, is Bolsonaro likely to seize imperial power like he said he would in the 90s? What are the odds of that happening compared to him working within the system?
"An election between the right cursing and the left writting virtue-signalizing texts "
Kayden Perry
The Brazilian right better abolish intellectual property laws in my lifetime or I'll hope for a Foro de São Paulo takeover.
Luke Hall
What for? He might just do a good job and let his sons take the mantle afterwards, if he wanted to take power he had the support of a huge chunk of the population and military, he's no dictator
Connor Lewis
That's very naive. Supreme Court judges often decide against the law by resorting to interpretation. And oftentimes the law is not clear enough so they have to interpret it anyway. We need conservatives in there.
Joseph Ward
He'll pick a bunch of judges for higher courts: -2 to the Supreme Federal Court -2 to the Superior Court of Justice -2 to the Supreme Labour Court -4 to the Supreme Military Court Plus 28 judges to our Federal Regional Courts, including 17 for the expansion of TRF2 (RJ and ES) and TRF5 (most of the Northeast)
Anyone else, anons? Do we get to appoint people to the Accounts Court of the Union?
Parker Parker
No. 0.
Isaac Rodriguez
Afaik he's a pretty conservative Catholic. His wife at least is based, check her social media
Let the Bolsonaro movement spread across South America. And let the atheists burn in hell.
Hunter Edwards
no unless gommies try to go full coup mode which won't happen since bolso has huge army support
Leo Carter
>hey look these guys that were known since ever to be comunists financed from the establishment sudenly are showing to be redpilled who cares about a fluke, we're not their readers. Fuck them and whatever they write, the political segregation we are experiencing is what allowed us to get organized and elect Pocketbranco. Embrace it for the time being, we need to reelect right winger consecutively to fix this shithole.
The political translation here is that, Moro won't be punishing the currently investigated politicians "as much", but in exchange, he will establish a strong anti-corruption system to prevent future cases of corruption? TLDR: Trade "vengeance" for security?
There's a flood of news every day, only way to link to them is if we drop the OP text completely.
Nicholas Sanchez
He should want to destroy all PETISTAS SAFADAS.
He had his life on the line for going after PT. He must become a good minister and put Haddad & co. in jail.
Jack Evans
Bannon, stop shitposting. Get a real job.
Michael Gonzalez
Not really. It means he's just saying he accepts it, but he wants Bolsonaro to say he supports the 70 corruption measures they're defending first. His substitute is a woman who is harsher than him with criminals
>PT fucked up so bad that even lefties are shitting on them, to the point that PT will disband if they keep their act.
>Leftist virtue-signalizing is hyprocrtically segregative
>Eduardo Campos was a decent human being
>PT's SOLE bid is basically for bolso to fuck up, and they'll do anything they can to be a drag, as in, they have no plan.
Jaxon Harris
The hell if abortion is murder, if a children is born only to be son of a single mom and turn into a degenerate, killing it before its even born is an act of pity.
Asher Richardson
So is death penalty, the purpose is to eliminate bad genes of your socity. People are not equal, and should not be threated as such.
David Edwards
Careful now...

What you just wrote isn't "secutiry". It is cuck-ism.
I doubt Moro would go that route, though.
Ryder Wood
I knew it, he wants the jewish magic.
Jayden Wright
That is not at all what the link is saying.
Gabriel Reed
While you are undoubtedly right, something needs to be done about the "situation" in Brazil.
Sterilisation of the poor after the second children is ont possibility. Doing nothing will only add PT voters and make Brazil an even wronger experiment.
Henry Brown
He gave us a draft of how many ministries he'll have (15), confirmed astronaut Marcos Pontes as minister of science and technology and scheduled a meeting with Moro yesterday, to appoint him as minister of Justice
These are the ministries Chief of Staf Economy Defense Health Science and technology Education, Sports and Culture Labour Mines and Energy Justice and Safety National Integration Infrastructure Institutional Security Cabinet Social Development Foreign Affairs Agriculture and the Environmen
He'll also get to appoint 10 judges to superior courts and 28 to appeals courts
Dominic Sullivan
What will it cost us >central bank zogged >jerusalem embassy >100k hue soldiers
Bentley Edwards
I remember he ran in 2014, but did he run this time or in 2016 for smth?
Julian Morales
For sure. But if the corrupt fucks show themselves to be strong enough to lock our reforms, we may not have other (democratic) options.
John Perez
Oh, and Brazil will be send our Military to Israel. I bet you my ass pucker that we will be fighting for them in the region.
Austin Brooks
No, that's not what I mean.
I mean you should update shit like in Trump's general. That would direct also part of the conversation and get ideas and really constructive debate flowing to the let go.
It's just my contribution, user. That's how I see it.
Wyatt Reyes
How much can Bolso liberalize the economy? Can he just open up or will he get cucked by gommies?
"I am certain I am not the most capable man for the job... but God does give capabilities to those he choses".
I just pitty it was in a prottie one, but given that it is his wife church or something and that pastor helped him. It's all good. Great speech as well.
I thought I'd have a salt compilation here from the confrontations in São Paulo the media claim happened. Meanwhile the niggers in France are openly killing people throughout the country and the MSM does not find it news worthy. Funny, hein?
Josiah Moore
He still has to go, get 10k corrupt cops of the job, start building real cities instead letting the crime syndicates run the favelas etc. Currently he is big talk. When Erdogan saw his fakery/larp attacked by the press, he just put everybody in jail. He couldn't stand it. Lets see if this guy has the really the guts, or he is just the next one that sends people into torture jails for "offending" his non action.
Henry Foster
The fertility rate in Brazil is already relatively low. It is higher among the poor but not massively so. It decreases as income increases. The solution is creating more jobs, increasing wages and creating better living conditions for the poor, not sterilizing people. I'll never support an anti-Catholic approach to poverty.
As if Brazil does not have the capability of building one by itself...
Hues, you get warned: Never trust the Jews. They will destroy you after the betray you.

Agreed, but I'm too lazy to do it. Hehe. I imagine /ptg/ is maintained by shills, which is not my case. There are 3 or 4 /hue/ thread creators and we're all volunteers. I've actually been procrastinating work too much to shitpost in here.
Jackson Kelly
I want to punch your mouth so hard right now, you literal LARPer

>we even got potheads to admit weed is addictive HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Owen Perry
Holy shit you did it, took days to even get to 500
Lincoln Gonzalez
If i was going to come up with a conspiracy plan, i don't think destroying is the right idea. We have a shitton of unused desert land on the northeast, and well, they might want to do another israel there.
Daniel Sanchez
No, no, no. You were talking about Moro and what he will do. He must purge the corrupts, especially the ones affiliated to PT. If he does anything less than that, he will be sucked into the system (of corruption) and people who supported him will see him as weak.
Not only that, he may actually be killed by the commies as he was threatened several times and I believe suffered one or another attempt at his life.
Brandon Evans
I'm a pothead and I'm finding the leftists desperation delicious. Also, even as a pothead it's obvious weed is bad. If you say otherwise you're delusional or rationalizing.
> I'll never support an anti-Catholic approach to poverty
This. The Word of God is greater than your utilitarian degeneracy.
Nathaniel Martin
I have a question to make to the white brazilians present here Do you see yourself as some sort of a separate group compared to the "normal brazilian" (mutt/nigger/indio)? Why?
I have this question because I can't feel a "nationalistc vibe" with the fellow citizens of this country, it's quite sad.
Adam Allen
its confessions like this that we need tiozoes to read
Nicholas Anderson
If there's one guy who won't bend to corruption, it's Moro. If he ever gets to the situation where he has to choose between denouncing someone and staying in government, I'm certain he'll leave the government. I like the idea of Moro as the JM because it will be a very strong anti-corruption mechanism for Bolsonaro's own government. Obviously Bolsonaro has the best intentions, but a government is a large machine and corrupt guys will surely make their way into some roles. They'll all be scared of Moro.
Jack Carter
We are only sending those corrupt politicians to jail for a couple of years, dude. They will come out, and they will be able to run again. We need to fix the system itself, and that is what Moro is talking about.
The punishment is only useful as far as removing them from current active duty so we can actually fix the system. But it needs to be capable of surviving when they come out... even Lula will come out eventually.
Anthony Sullivan
Predisposition to violent behavior is genetic. Letting low IQ single mothers having 5 kids results in an useless lower class.
