That is correct, but what the world needs is a stable Middle East. It will not be strong enough to challenge the west, yet be able to care for itself and its citizens, thus stopping the refugee outflow. Israel is a direct obstacle to that, its creation in the Middle East was a mistake.
Not to mention that a strong Israel is a threat in itself to the West to a certain extent. A strong Palestine is just like Lebanon or Jordan, it poses no danger to the West.

I believe Arabs would be better off under either of them. The Ottoman empire wasn't perfect, but at least it had a decent administrative system, something that arabs lack. Persians already control most of Syria, despite Israel, Turkey and KSA standing on their way.
