As for making my own bread, I don't want to. For several reasons. First of all, I don't eat a lot of bread. To me bread is something I eat only when I have no time to prepare something better. Secondly, making your own bread is extremely environmentally unfriendly. The energy you need to heat up that oven is actually quite extreme, considering what you get from it. Thirdly, I don't grow any grains, except some here and there that I leave for the birds to eat. My plan when SHTF is to survive mainly on WILD plants and hunting. Finally, I have 6 kids and a lot of work to do, so I don't have the time to bake bread.
