I thought this was supposed to be like the richest city in the world? That's like the size of San Antonio, and Dubai has a few hundred thousand more people than San Antonio.

They probably spend massive amounts of money, and I suspect most of the people living there, don't work there or run businesses there. So the GDP would be much lower than the wealth of the people residing there.

GDP isn't about tax. If anything, no taxes should help the GDP grow.

Furthermore, GDP includes net exports. They seem to import mostly everything they need to live on a day-to-day basis.
