Dems don’t vote in midterms anyway these days because their base is youth and minorities who are low info and only turn out for a presidential candidate that has been hyped everywhere for over a year.
And gop controls most all governors and assemblies and has gerrymandered every district for gop favor.
And dems need to flip over 20 seats to win house. Impossible.
Blue wave was just based on dems having an advantage on ‘general ballot’ which just means that dems are likely to get more votes for all seats combined, but gop will still take more seats.
The strategy here is to get their base’s hopes way up then when they lose the House Dems point to having more total votes and complain that the house isn’t democratic and doesn’t provide equal representation blah blah. Just more fuel to keep people ‘resisting’
