I think from an apriori position, it's hard to make the case that you want to make. It's not so clear that the intelligence gap (if true) would be insufficient to explain the leadership gap. You have to remember, that jews are especially geared towards verbal intelligence, which might have an even stronger role in getting and holding leadership positions (in fact, we see that this is a very important skill in practice).

It's part of Jewish culture for parents to keep pushing their children and make them feel guilty that they aren't trying hard enough.
