USA is too big and too fractured. Nordic model has worked largely because too many people just don't abuse the system. It's showing it's cracks now when societal trust is decreasing and population is aging, but I believe it could still have future with border control, reignited nationalist spirit and enduring temporary rougher times until nature fixes problem of too many elderly people existing.

Out of Nordic countries Finland and Sweden aren't even in Nato.

Our model absolutely requires homogeneous morals.
Not necessarily homogeneous ethnic society since Asians function under this system just fine, but if you have large amounts of people who exploit this system, then it crumbles in an instant.
Nordic model requires everyone to participate in the society and not to exploit it.

Believe it or not the U.S. is actually struggling on many indicators of health and well-being compared to other first-world countries. Cost of living is high and wages low, sick and fat population, high crime and gun violence, poor education, homelessness, etc. tldr: Corporatism not the best, maybe borrow some socialism?

Sure you could adopt some parts of our system, but you'd just see a massive increase in the living expenses and taxes. That would just drive more tax payers out of your country.
Our salaries are lower than over there and our prices anywhere between 50-500% higher.
Really the only thing in the US that's more expensive is rents,school and healthcare.
Ask anyone if they're willing to accept a system where they're going to get a cut in healthcare and education prices, but 10$ a gallon gas and wages maxing out at 4k and absolutely everyone will say "hell no"

It's basically like this.
Nordic model forces everyone to exist in the salary range of 1500-3500€ with only a tiny fraction of people making over 5k a month and living expenses are fuck high. But everyone has a safety net of some sorts. You can't be left without welfare in this country.
Where as the US model allows for a hell of a lot more upwards mobility, is far more business friendly, but also places more pressure and responsibility on the individual to succeed.
One is good for the average drone and one is good for the businessman. Both are bit of extremes I think.
The way I see it is that the Nordic model is a great place to start and to get your education, but it's a shitty place for anyone to stay who has even a bit of ambition regarding personal success.

Besides US doesn't really need more money from taxing people more, like our system does.
You just need to reform your profit driven education system and control the immigration. Also less government interference with business and transfer of funds from the defense budget to infrastructure, healthcare and education.
That would be enough to cause a massive change.

This is quite important thing. Nordic people in general are more happy of being average joes living stable lives than ambitious to become millionaires. The society has also always been more altruistic and communal than in USA, the whole model is also matter of mentality.

Costa Rica is a social democracy, we are a lot of castizos, mestizos, blacks, chinese, jews, and a hell load of immigrants from Nicaragua, Venezuela and Colombia...etc you name it. And it works.
