Why is the mainstream media left-wing? And why do they call WaPo "CIA-backed"?
I'm reading old articles online that WaPo wrote in 1982 on the Reagan carter election and it is identical to what im reading right now. This whole left wing thing is nothing new. Why are these institutions left wing? And why do people call WaPo CIA backed?

Fox News is a leftist globalist network with a few hours of conservative stuff each day. Daddy Murdoch wouldnt make any shekels if he didnt have Dobbs/Hannity/Tucker.
Leftist billionaires used their money to purchase the mainstream media outlets. They created the news specifically as their propaganda outlets. The only question is whether the media is the propaganda arm of the leftists, or if the leftists are the political arm of the media.
This, they only have a conservative voice because there is a market for it (too conservative values are not allowed and things like living without getting a government loan or showing major money trails is forbidden). If they didn't have a major conservative voice then there is a chance an actual conservative group would start a major conservative voice and cause actual national change among leftists (without demonizing them completely by calling them retarded and synonyms thereof for easy conversion).

There is no left, not really. What you might be confused by is the big difference in political rhetoric favored in America versus what would be normal in your country.

The communists and subsersives couldn't break through the institutions of society. The Church preached against their evil. The Journalist uncovered their lies and corruption. The Police Officer arrested them when they committed treason. The University Professor taught the truth, not Marx.
So their only option, seeing that violent revolution and mass-murder was too hard in Western nations, was to infiltrate and take over these institutions. We are seeing the decades-long plan bear it's evil fruit for all to see.
